Problem Possible cause Solution

The appliance

switches off dur-

ing the washing

phase:

The mains supply has been cut off. Wait for the electricity restore.

The appliance will start again

from the same interrupted wash-

ing phase.

The appliance

spinning phase

starts late or does

not start:

The electronic unbalance detec-

tion device has cut in because the

laundry is not evenly distributed in

the drum. The laundry is redistrib-

uted by reverse rotation of the

drum. This may happen several

times before the unbalance disap-

pears and normal spinning can re-

sume. If, after 10 minutes, the

laundry is still not evenly distrib-

uted in the drum, the appliance

will not spin.

Redistribute the load manually or

load more laundry and select the

spin programme.

There is water on

the floor:

Too much detergent or unsuitable

detergent (creates too much foam)

has been used.

Reduce the detergent quantity or

use another one.

Check whether there are any

leaks from one of the inlet hose fit-

tings. It is not always easy to see

this as the water runs down the

hose; check if it is damp.

Check the water inlet hose con-

nection.

The drain or inlet hose is dam-

aged.

Replace it with a new one (check

with the Authorised Service Cen-

tre the right spare part number).

The door does not

open:

The programme is still running. Wait the end of washing cycle.

The door lock has not been re-

leased.

Wait a few minutes before open-

ing the door.

There is water in the drum. Select drain or spin programme

to empty out the water.
