Problem Possible cause Solution
The appliance
produces an
unusual noise:
The transit bolts and packing have
not been removed.
Check the correct installation of the
appliance.
The support feet have not been
adjusted
Check the correct levelling of the
appliance.
The drain pump could be blocked. Check the drain pump. (See
"Cleaning the pump" for more de-
tails).
Unsatisfactory
washing results:
Too little detergent or unsuitable
detergent has been used.
Increase the detergent quantity or
use another one.
Stubborn stains have not been
treated prior to washing.
Use commercial products to treat
the stubborn stains.
The correct temperature was not
selected.
Check if you have selected the cor-
rect temperature.
Excessive laundry load. Reduce the laundry load in ac-
cording to the "Washing Pro-
grammes table".
The machine
does not dry or
does not dry
properly:
The drying time or the dryness de-
gree has not been selected.
Select the drying time or the dry-
ness degree.
The water tap is closed. Open the water tap.
The drain filter is clogged. Clean the drain filter.
The machine is overloaded. Reduce the laundry load in the
drum.
The selected drying programme,
time or dryness degree was not
suitable for the laundry.
Select the suitable drying pro-
gramme, time or dryness degree
for the laundry.
The laundry is
full of different
coloured fluff:
The fabrics washed in the previous
cycle released fluff of a different
colour (refer to “Fluff in the gar-
ments” in chapter “Daily Use -
Washing & Drying”).
The drying phase helps to elimi-
nate some fluff.
Clean the clothes with a fluff re-
mover.
In case of an excessive amount of
fluff in the drum repeat the follow-
ing procedure twice.
1. Thoroughly clean the empty
drum, the gasket and the door
with a wet rag.
2. Perform a rinse cycle.
3. Put a wool or piled fabric rag
inside the drum.
4. Perform a drying cycle of 10
minutes.
5. Remove the old wool cloth.
