Problem Possible cause Solution

The appliance spin-

ning phase starts late

or does not start:

The electronic unbalance de-

tection device has cut in be-

cause the laundry is not even-

ly distributed in the drum. The

laundry is redistributed by re-

verse rotation of the drum.

This may happen several

times before the unbalance

disappears and normal spin-

ning can resume. If, after 10

minutes, the laundry is still not

evenly distributed in the drum,

the appliance will not spin.

Redistribute the load manually or

load more laundry and select the

spin programme.

There is water on the

floor:

Too much detergent or unsuit-

able detergent (creates too

much foam) has been used.

Reduce the detergent quantity or

use another one.

Check whether there are any

leaks from one of the inlet

hose fittings. It is not always

easy to see this as the water

runs down the hose; check if it

is damp.

Check the water inlet hose con-

nection.

The drain or inlet hose is

damaged.

Replace it with a new one (check

with the Authorised Service Cen-

tre the right spare part number).

The filter has not been prop-

erly screwed in after cleaning

action.

Screw the filter fully in.

The door does not

open:

The programme is still run-

ning.

Wait the end of washing cycle.

The door lock has not been

released.

Wait a few minutes before open-

ing the door.

There is water in the drum. Select drain or spin programme

to empty out the water.
